This was his second La Vuelta stage success after winning his fifth in a Grand Tour, along with point three to 26 August in the 2018 Giro d’Italia following three.
The 28-year-old is getting an exceptional year with this his 13th achievement.
“I’m just thrilled,” Bennett told Eurosport. “I have reached my target to the entire year, but there are just another one or two more wins to come.”
